Our Story

The Essex County Family Justice Center (ECFJC) opened its doors on May 24, 2010, in response to alarming rates of domestic violence in Essex County, New Jersey. Utilizing the Family Justice Center Model, recognized as a best practice in domestic violence intervention, ECFJC has become a beacon of hope for many.

Impact

Since its inception, ECFJC has assisted approximately 9,700 victims of domestic violence, offering comprehensive, trauma-informed services that enhance victim safety and autonomy.
