Essence Preparatory Public School

Our Story

Essence Preparatory Public School is a tuition-free public school located on the Eastside of San Antonio, dedicated to meeting the educational, social, and emotional needs of black and brown children. Opened in August 2022, Essence Prep demonstrates that home zip codes are not predictors of educational success.

Impact

Essence Prep prepares all kindergarten through eighth-grade scholars for high school, college, and beyond, equipping them with the skills to advocate for themselves and their communities.
