Our Story
In 2018, Maricela Torres was inspired to establish the Esperanza Community Center in the Northwood area of West Palm Beach after her volunteer experience at the U.S.-Mexican border. Officially opened in early 2019, the center addresses the needs of day laborers, primarily Mayan immigrants, and has expanded to serve entire families by partnering with local agencies.
