Our Story
The Resource Center for Nonviolence (RCNV) was founded in 1976 on the unceded lands of Awaswas Amah Mutsun in Santa Cruz, California. A group of passionate activists came together to advocate for nonviolent social change, inspired by multiracial movements for liberation. Over the years, RCNV has evolved to address pressing social justice issues, including racial equity and support for marginalized communities.
