Verge Theater

Our Story

Founded in 1994, Equinox Theatre Company has evolved into Verge Theater, a vibrant black box community theater in Bozeman, Montana. With a commitment to inclusion and accessibility, Verge Theater offers a platform for local creatives to shine through MainStage productions and a robust education program. Classes for youth, teens, and adults are taught by skilled local professionals, fostering a love for the arts in the community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Verge Theater adapted by producing virtual productions and offering outdoor classes, ensuring that the arts remained accessible. In 2022, the theater found a new home at The Emerson Center for Arts & Culture, allowing for a full lineup of productions and the expansion of educational offerings, including a Fine Art Gallery.

Verge Theater provides a safe, creative space for all who seek truth and make magic. Through initiatives like Pay What You Wish, the theater ensures that everyone can participate in the arts, while partnerships with local organizations elevate historically underrepresented voices.
