Our Story
The Equal Justice Society (EJS), founded in 2000 by Eva Paterson and civil rights advocates, is dedicated to restoring Constitutional safeguards against discrimination. By transforming the nation’s consciousness on race through law, social science, and the arts, EJS addresses critical issues such as school discipline, special education, and the school-to-prison pipeline.
Impact
EJS envisions a society where race is no longer a barrier to opportunity, employing legal advocacy, coalition building, and strategic communication to combat discrimination and promote equality.
