Founded in 1974 by The Reverend Canon Stephen B. Swann, the Episcopal School of Dallas began with a vision to create a nurturing educational environment. With just eleven students gathered around a campfire, the foundational principles of religio, eruditio, and disciplina were established. These tenets continue to guide the mission of ESD, fostering a community where students develop an educated conscience and a sense of purpose.
