Our Story
The Environmental Studies Council, established in 1978, is dedicated to supporting and enhancing the unique environmental educational programs at the Environmental Studies Center in Martin County, Florida. With a volunteer Board of Trustees, the Council promotes environmental awareness through community education initiatives.
Impact
Each year, the Council offers free outreach and educational programs, including the annual Environmental Lecture Series, Open House events, Grandparents Day, and Earth Day celebrations. Recently, over 100 generous donors contributed more than $195,000 to create a new Sea Turtle Exhibit, featuring a state-of-the-art filtration system that enhances water quality for the sea turtle tank and all aquariums at the Center.
