Our Story

Founded in 1969 by Glady Thacher, Enterprise for Youth began in her living room with a mission to provide young people with opportunities to prepare for the workforce. Over the years, it has evolved from listing jobs on index cards to offering a comprehensive internship program, workshops, job shadows, and mentorship.

Impact

Enterprise for Youth has empowered under-resourced youth to reach their potential through transformative paid internship experiences. In 2023, 98% of youth reported valuable job skills gained, with over $775,500 earned by youth interns.
