Enriching Lives Through Music (ELM) began as a pilot project in 2008, initiated by Executive Director Jane Kramer, Ph.D. With a passion for music and a commitment to community, Jane identified a significant gap in access to quality music education for children in the Canal neighborhood of San Rafael. Starting with just 15 soprano recorders, she dedicated herself to teaching local elementary school students twice a week. Today, those students are not only graduating from college but are also composing their own futures.
