Founded in 2011 by Executive Director Tomas O’Grady, EnrichLA began with a small vegetable garden at Thomas Starr King Middle School. The organization is dedicated to building and maintaining organic school gardens across Los Angeles, fostering healthy living and environmental stewardship among students.
EnrichLA connects over 60,000 students each year to the source of their food through its school gardens. These gardens not only improve air quality but also encourage environmental stewardship and positively influence health and eating habits.
