About Skills for Life Workshop

Founded in 2017 by Shawn Swanson Johnson, the Skills for Life Workshop was inspired by the vision of Dr. Robert H. “Skip” Meier, III, and Diane Atkins, OTR. This nonprofit organization addresses the unique challenges faced by individuals living without both arms or more, providing essential resources, events, and peer support. The workshop has evolved into an international gathering, uniting individuals from various countries to empower and educate those with limb loss.
