Founded by Colby May in 2017, Energy For Mission emerged from a profound experience in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Witnessing the aftermath of civil war, Colby partnered with Marcel Serubungo to support local churches in addressing the spiritual, social, and economic challenges faced by communities in the Kivu region.
The Tuungane Project has established 21 Community Peace Committees, serving over 22,000 individuals. Through training, 290 community leaders have gained skills in conflict resolution, while 74 church leaders have been restored through workshops, fostering resilience and improved relationships.
