About Encore Learning

Founded in 2002, Encore Learning provides high-quality, college-level noncredit courses, clubs, and special events tailored for individuals over 50. Originally known as Arlington Learning in Retirement, the organization was established by community leaders to fill a vital gap in adult education for seniors. In 2012, it rebranded to Encore Learning, continuing its mission to foster a vibrant community of lifelong learners.

With membership growing from 98 in its inaugural year to over 860 today, Encore Learning has successfully adapted to challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, by transitioning to virtual classes. This ensures that seniors have continued access to enriching educational opportunities.
