EMU INC. is named after the call sign of the 135th Assault Helicopter Company, a unique unit in Army aviation history that included both U.S. Army and Royal Australian Navy personnel. This experimental military unit played a vital role during the Vietnam War, and EMU INC. is dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Huey Helicopter and honoring the brave men who served. Through the iconic EMU 309, a restored Huey Helicopter, the organization fosters camaraderie among Veterans and provides support for those affected by PTSD and other invisible wounds of war.
