Empowerment Resource Center: A Mission to Serve
Founded in 2003 by Jacqueline Brown, the Empowerment Resource Center (ERC) addresses the critical rise of HIV infections among African American women. Initially focused on HIV counseling and testing, ERC has expanded its services to include comprehensive health-related support, prevention education, and mental health services.
Making an Impact
ERC serves over 4,996 clients annually, conducting more than 41,424 HIV tests and providing essential outreach services. The organization has been recognized for its impactful community health initiatives, including the successful Take Charge. Get Tested.™ health fair.
