Empowered Youth: A Transformative Journey

Founded in 2008, Empowered Youth Inc. emerged from the Miami-Dade Detention Center to create a safe haven for young men in Liberty City. The Empowered Youth Neighborhood Diversion Program was established to provide essential wrap-around services, including mentoring and life skills development, to those born into cycles of violence and poverty. In 2010, the Culinary Career Track was launched, offering training and job opportunities that have achieved a remarkable success rate exceeding 90%.
