Founded in 1970 by Craig Smith, Emmanuel Music serves as the ensemble-in-residence for Boston's Emmanuel Church. The organization is dedicated to the weekly presentation of J.S. Bach's sacred cantatas in their original liturgical context, alongside a diverse array of evening concerts. Under the artistic leadership of Ryan Turner since 2010, Emmanuel Music has expanded its performance activities and established the annual Bach Institute for emerging professional musicians.
