Founded in 1975, the Emerald Society of Illinois unites Irish American Law Enforcement Officers across the state. This organization fosters a sense of community through social events that celebrate Irish heritage and promote goodwill among its members.
Over the past 25 years, the Emerald Society has awarded more than 125 scholarships, expanding from 4 to 9 scholarships in 2019, thanks to the generosity of its members and their families.
