Our Story
Emerald Gems Foundation was established in 2015 by Milton Newton and his wife Shalaun to inspire and encourage students to learn the benefits of hard work both on the basketball court and in life. Influenced by his parents, Milt Newton emphasizes the importance of being a positive contributing member of society. The foundation aims to enhance the lives of youths in the U.S. Virgin Islands through basketball and education.
Impact
In 2018, the foundation raised over $14,000 for hurricane relief efforts in St. Thomas, showcasing its commitment to community support and youth development through sports.
