Embrace Mercy

Our Story

Founded by Fred and Karleen Dewey in 1986, Embrace Mercy began with a vision to provide hope and support for vulnerable children. Through their dedication, they have fostered and adopted numerous children, established child development centers in Asia, and initiated a parent education program for teen mothers in Colorado. Their impactful journey in Romania started in the early 1990s, leading to the creation of Casa Alba, an alternative orphanage that continues to serve orphans and at-risk youth.

Impact

Embrace Mercy has transformed the lives of hundreds of orphans in Romania, facilitated over 75 overseas adoptions, and provided essential training in trauma-informed care to caregivers, significantly enhancing the well-being of youth facing Complex Developmental Trauma.
