Founded by Shannon Bednarova, EMBRACE Foundation emerged from a decade of experience in an Orthopaedic practice, where the waste of durable medical equipment (DME) was evident. After a life-changing boating accident, Shannon was inspired to give back, leading to the establishment of EMBRACE Foundation in 2018. The foundation partners with Samaritan’s Purse World Medical Mission to repurpose used DME for underserved communities worldwide.
EMBRACE Foundation has successfully collected and donated thousands of pieces of durable medical equipment and medical supplies to under-developed countries, significantly reducing waste and providing essential support to those in need.
