Our Story
In the summer of 2013, a family’s life changed forever when Elleanor, a vibrant 5-year-old, was diagnosed with a large brainstem tumor. After a devastating neurological event, her family faced the unimaginable as they navigated the complexities of her condition. With the help of Dr. Dan Barrow at Emory University, Elleanor underwent life-saving surgery, but the journey was far from over. As she grew, it became clear that her diagnosis was more severe than initially thought, revealing a rare and aggressive form of cerebral cavernous malformations (CCM3). Today, Elleanor is 15, managing her deficits, but the need for research and a cure is more urgent than ever.
