Our Story

Elijah’s Promise was founded in 1989 by three churches in New Brunswick, inspired by the biblical story of the prophet Elijah and a widow during a famine. This powerful narrative of sharing and hope has driven the mission to combat food insecurity and improve lives in the Greater New Brunswick area.

Impact

Since its inception, Elijah’s Promise has served over 375,000 free meals through its Community Soup Kitchen and mobile service, EP On Wheels. The organization also provides culinary job training and essential social services to empower individuals and families in need.
