Our Story

At just twenty months old, Jim Hukill was diagnosed with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy. This life-changing event led his family to seek support services, only to find a lack of resources and a high divorce rate among families facing similar challenges. In 1998, Jim and Rhonette Hukill founded Eleos – The Care Network, Inc. to fill this gap. In 2006, they launched Lift Disability Network, offering a suite of programs designed to elevate the lives of families impacted by disabilities through camping, events, and family services, regardless of creed or beliefs.
