Our Story

In the mid-1970s, community advocates recognized the need for an adult day care center in Norwalk, Connecticut. They believed that older frail adults deserved an alternative to institutional care, allowing them to remain in their community. In March 1977, ElderHouse opened its doors, creating a warm and caring environment for seniors and their families. Over the years, ElderHouse has grown to serve thousands, becoming a leader in adult day services.
