Our Story

Elder Care Alliance, established in 1996, has deep roots dating back to 1872 with the founding of Mercy Retirement and Care Center by the Sisters of Mercy. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to helping older adults live purposeful lives in a nurturing environment across five communities in California.

With a commitment to the well-being and dignity of seniors, Elder Care Alliance enriches lives through innovative programs. The Mercy Brown Bag program alone distributes over 117,000 grocery bags to nearly 8,000 seniors, ensuring food security and support.
