Our Story

Elawa Farm, established in 1917 in Lake Forest, Illinois, was originally built for A. Watson and Elsa Armour. The Elawa Farm Foundation was formed in 2002 to support the restoration of this historic property and to cultivate an organic public garden, nurtured by local volunteers. Today, the foundation serves as a vital center for experiential learning, enhancing access to education and nutritious food for the greater Lake County community.

Impact

Elawa Farm Foundation is dedicated to fostering a healthier community and a resilient local food system. By donating fresh harvests and nutritious meals to families in need, offering free educational programs, and building accessible gardens, the foundation actively supports local farmers and addresses food insecurity.

Why Donate?

As a nonprofit organization, Elawa Farm Foundation relies on the generosity of donors to maintain its historic campus, improve healthy food access, and provide experiential learning opportunities. Donations are tax-deductible and directly support initiatives that benefit the local community.
