Our Story

Established in 1974, El Centro del Pueblo is a dedicated non-profit community service agency focused on alleviating the negative effects of gang violence. Located in Central, Northeast, and South Los Angeles, this organization is committed to enhancing the quality of life for children, youth, and families through a comprehensive range of culturally competent services. Collaborating with diverse communities, including Korean, Pilipino, Chinese, Central American, and African-American families, El Centro del Pueblo provides essential social services such as counseling, drug prevention, and youth programs.

El Centro del Pueblo serves over 4,000 families annually, employing over 70 staff members and managing a budget of $5.5 million.
