Our Story

In January 2023, the Edward Garrison Childress Foundation was established in memory of Edward, who tragically lost his life to suicide after battling severe depression. This foundation is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health issues and preventing similar tragedies among high school and college-aged individuals.

Impact

The EGC Foundation aims to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness and suicide, which is the third leading cause of death in young adults. By fostering open conversations and providing resources, the foundation seeks to create a supportive environment for those in need.
