Our Story

The Education Collaborative of Western New York (EdCo) was established in 1998 to unite private and independent high schools in the region. Originally named the Buffalo Independent Secondary School Network, EdCo was founded in partnership with The John R. Oishei Foundation to tackle shared challenges and enhance educational opportunities for students. Over the years, EdCo has grown to include 14 partner schools, focusing on enriching educational resources, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and providing professional development for educators.

Impact

EdCo has positively impacted over 400 students through the Oishei High School Scholarship, distributing $16.3 million in financial support. An impressive 96% of graduates from partner schools pursue higher education, reflecting EdCo's dedication to academic success.
