Good Shepherd Community began as an ecumenical mission, initiated by the bishops of Arkansas’ Catholic, Episcopal, Presbyterian, and United Methodist churches. The goal was to create affordable housing options for local seniors. From its humble beginnings with a single building of 200 apartments, it has blossomed into a full-service retirement community featuring five facilities and over 500 apartments, all nestled on a beautiful 140-acre campus in west Little Rock.
Since 1979, Good Shepherd Community has significantly improved the lives of seniors by promoting independence, well-being, and dignity within a faith-based community.
