In 1980, a group of friends in Seattle started playing softball, leading to the formation of the Seattle Gay Softball League. This initiative evolved into the Emerald City Softball Association (ECSA), which has grown to become one of the largest NAGAAA-member organizations.
The ECSA has created a welcoming environment for LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies, fostering community through sports and achieving significant participation in local and national tournaments.
