Our Story

Founded in 1979 as a project of the local Easter Seal Society, Easy Lift Transportation began with a single converted motor home and a dedicated team. By 1981, it became an independent nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with limited mobility. The passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act in 1990 marked a turning point, providing essential funding that allowed Easy Lift to expand its services significantly.

Impact

Easy Lift Transportation schedules approximately 6,200 rides each month, empowering individuals with limited mobility in south Santa Barbara County to live independently and with dignity.
