Our Story
Founded in 2000 by John Stasio and a group of gay men, Easton Mountain emerged as a retreat center and sanctuary for LGBTQ+ individuals. Nestled on 175 acres in upstate New York, this community was born from a desire for refuge and healing, particularly in response to the HIV epidemic. The vision was to create a safe space for personal growth and community building, fostering connections among those who have faced similar challenges.
