Our Story

Established in 1968, the East Side Neighborhood Recreation Center, known as Hope 7 Community Center, was born from the vision of community members who recognized the urgent need for recreational programs for the youth in Troy's East Side. When the City of Troy decided to close the firehouse, the community took action, transforming the building into a hub of support and growth. Over the years, Hope 7 has expanded its services, establishing a food pantry, summer camp, after-school programs, and hosting numerous community events. The center stands as a proud reminder of the community's resilience and commitment to improving lives.
