Our Story

The East Side Arts Council (ESAC) was founded in 1991 as a grassroots initiative in response to the social and economic challenges faced by the East Side of Saint Paul, Minnesota. This community-driven organization has evolved to provide accessible, low-cost, or free arts programs led by professional artists, celebrating the rich diversity of the neighborhood.

Impact on the Community

ESAC serves inner-city youth attending East Side schools, many from low-income backgrounds. Through out-of-school day camps and field trips, these young individuals gain access to quality art programming and cultural events, enriching their lives and fostering a strong sense of community.
