Our Story

Founded in 1989 by a group of young girls in Freeport, Maine, Earth Force emerged from a grassroots initiative aimed at combating the environmental impact of styrofoam waste. Their advocacy led to a local ordinance banning polystyrene foam, inspiring the mission of Earth Force to empower young people in environmental decision-making and civic action.

Impact

Earth Force has successfully engaged over 40,000 young people annually in environmental advocacy. With 91% of students meeting with community leaders and 84% gaining a deeper understanding of environmental issues, the organization fosters a new generation of informed environmental citizens.
