Our Story

Earth Discovery Institute (EDI) is dedicated to inspiring stewardship of San Diego’s native biodiversity through engaging environmental education and conservation initiatives. By focusing on communities with limited access to natural spaces, EDI empowers individuals to actively participate in conservation efforts.

EDI has successfully provided science-based, hands-on environmental education to over 40,000 children, planted more than 20,000 native plants, and facilitated 15,000 volunteer hours dedicated to conservation stewardship activities.
