Our Story
The East Boston Community Development Corporation (EBCDC) is dedicated to improving the lives of low-income residents in East Boston. Established through the collaborative efforts of the East Boston Neighborhood Council and the Planning Office for Urban Affairs of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, EBCDC has developed or co-developed over 1,000 units of subsidized housing and currently manages 700 subsidized rental apartments. With a grassroots approach and a social service budget of less than $300,000, EBCDC focuses on providing essential housing assistance, creating economic development programs, and supporting public housing residents.
