Our Story

Founded in 1997, the Duxbury Bay Maritime School began with a simple yet powerful idea: to connect the community to the beautiful Duxbury Bay. With no resources but a shared passion, a small group of individuals turned this vision into reality, garnering overwhelming support from the community. Outgoing Board Chair Fred Clifford reflects on this journey, stating, 'No organization that I have been involved with comes even close to the deep satisfaction as DBMS.'
