Our Story
In May 2018, community leaders in Wilson County united to combat substance misuse after a tragic loss. A mother’s plea for help following her son’s Fentanyl overdose sparked the formation of DrugFree WilCo. Established on June 6, 2018, this coalition brings together caring professionals and community members dedicated to making a difference.
Our Impact
DrugFree WilCo employs SAMHSA’s Strategic Prevention Framework and the 7 Strategies for Community Change to create effective public health initiatives addressing substance misuse.
