Our Story

Founded in 1977, Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service (DATS) began as a small outpatient clinic in Scranton State General Hospital, dedicated to helping residents of Lackawanna County overcome drug and alcohol addiction. Over the years, DATS has grown significantly, becoming the state-designated provider for drug and alcohol counseling in the region. Today, with a dedicated team of 30 clinical staff, DATS serves an average monthly caseload of 700 patients, making it one of the largest outpatient service providers in Pennsylvania.

Impact

DATS is committed to transforming lives by providing essential outpatient rehabilitation services, helping hundreds of individuals each month to break free from addiction.
