Our Story
The Well began with a seed planted in the heart of founder Mandy Memmel, who, with a background in nursing and church ministry, hosted a volunteer Christmas event in Curtis Bay, MD. The women they met had a profound impact on them, leading to a lifelong commitment to the community. Since opening its doors in 2015, The Well has been dedicated to providing a safe haven for women in Baltimore, fostering healing and guiding them toward new lives.
Impact
In the last year alone, The Well has employed over 22 women survivors through its workforce development program, Hon’s Honey. This initiative not only provides jobs but also serves as a central resource for the community, hosting annual events that positively impact families.
