Our Story
The Drake House was established in 2004 as a response to the increasing number of homeless women and children in North Fulton. Community leaders, including business and civic leaders, faith-based organizations, and local government, came together to create a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing this urgent need. Officially opened in June 2006, The Drake House honors Mary Drake, a local advocate for those in need.
Impact
In the last fiscal year, 93% of families transitioned to stable housing, with an average savings of $2,754 upon leaving the program. Approximately 70% of mothers are employed upon entering The Drake House, and 90% secure employment by the time they exit, resulting in an average monthly income increase of 63%.
