Our Story

Conceived in 2017, Drag Out The Vote™ emerged from a passionate commitment to engage the LGBTQ+ and Allied communities in the voting process. With 1 in 5 LGBTQ+ individuals unregistered to vote and 100 million Americans not participating in the 2016 election, founder Jackie Huba sought a vibrant solution. Inspired by a drag benefit for Hurricane Maria relief, Huba harnessed the power of drag to motivate voters across the nation. Formally established in 2019, Drag Out The Vote™ has quickly become a beacon for voter engagement, encouraging everyone to sashay their way to the polls!
