Our Story

Down the Block is a dedicated nonprofit organization founded by concerned residents of Millburn and Short Hills. Established in 2009, the mission is to provide short-term assistance to neighbors facing unexpected financial hardships. The organization was born from the stories of families struggling to meet their basic needs, such as food, shelter, and medical care.

Impact

As the only organization in Millburn Township that offers immediate financial support, Down the Block has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to help residents in crisis. With a board comprised entirely of local volunteers, nearly 100% of donations go directly to those in need.
