The Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Indiana (DSANI) was founded nearly 20 years ago by Deb Gavette and other dedicated parents. They recognized the need for a support group for families of individuals with Down syndrome, leading to the first Buddy Walk in the region. Over the years, DSANI has expanded its reach, now serving families across eleven counties surrounding Fort Wayne, Indiana, providing vital advocacy, information, and support.
DSANI has successfully raised over $134,000 through its annual Buddy Walk, funding programs, activities, outreach, education, and advocacy efforts for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
