Doulos Community

Our Story

Doulos Community is a Christian humanitarian organization founded in 1984 in response to the devastating Sahel drought in northwest Africa. Established by a group of friends from Princeton University, the organization has been dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and communities in Mauritania since 1987 through community-focused initiatives.

Impact

Each year, Doulos Community distributes over 2,000 metric tons of food aid to more than 20,000 mothers and children, achieving remarkable rehabilitation rates for malnourished children in its feeding centers. The organization’s commitment to community development and training programs has significantly transformed local communities.
