Dorrance Dance is an award-winning tap dance company based in New York City, founded in 2011 by Artistic Director Michelle Dorrance. The company is dedicated to sharing the dynamic range of tap dance through performance and education, engaging audiences on a musical and emotional level while honoring the complex history and powerful legacy of this Black American art form.

Each year, Dorrance Dance shares the power of tap dance with over 30,000 audience members, including 6,000 students, through international touring and regular performances in New York. The company creates world premieres, tours existing productions, and educates the next generation of tap dancers.
